Pittsburgh Home&garden Show Opens Next Weekend

The 36th annual Duquesne Light Pittsburgh Home & Garden Show runs March 10-19 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Downtown.

In addition to vendors offering more than 1,700 products and services, the show will include Boyce Thompson with 10 Life- Changing New Products, local designers' version of the Office of the Future and No Place Like Home gardens created by Bidwell Training Center's horticulture students. Visitors will get to try out the judge's command chair from "The Voice" and meet Pittsburgh Dad Curt Wootton, antiques appraiser Dr. Lori Verderame, "Renegade Gardener" Don Engebretson and local garden writer Doug Oster. A special 10th anniversary version of the CAPA House Band featuring alumni who are now professional musicians will play jazz at the Crawford Grill.

Other returning favorites are Duquesne Light's Electric Lane, the Builders Showcase created by the Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh, the Designer Showcase by members of the American Society of Interior Designers, the Children's Village, a railroad layout by the Train Collectors' Kids Club and Turtle Races. …
