Jim Starr Named Inaugural Recipient of Gcs Gallery Award

Jim Starr, president of Design for Business, 6709 N. Classen Blvd., has been named the inaugural recipient of the GCS Gallery Award, presented by the Graphic Communication Society of Oklahoma in recognition of "significant contributions to the community, to this Society, and to the advancement of the graphic arts in Oklahoma."

Starr is a former president and board member of the Graphic Communication Society, an organization of communications professionals. His firm, Design for Business, creates advertising, corporate identity and architectural graphics and signage. . .

- Cheryl Gray has been hired as an account executive assistant at the Lowe Runkle Co.

Gray was formerly sales coordinator with Jeff Thomas Enterprises.

The Lowe Runkle Co., an associate of Hill & Knowlton, is in its 40th year as an advertising, marketing and public relations firm in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. . .

- Lowell Lenhart has been named administrator of Oklahoma Memorial Hospital.

Lenhart, who joined Oklahoma Teaching Hospitals in 1979, was involved in the building of the O'Donoghue Rehabilitation Institute and was named administrator of the institute in 1981. He served in that position until March 1985, when he moved to the Oklahoma Teaching Hospitals as assistant to the chief executive officer for special projects.

Currently, Lenhart is dividing his time between his new position and the institute until a successor for the special projects assistant position is found. . .

- Susan Miller, marketing director at Crossroads Mall, was elected president of the Oklahoma Mall Marketing Association for 1986 at the association's January meeting at the Sheraton Century Center.
