Shirley Joins Aar Oklahoma as Commuter Airline Service Sales Manager

Clifford "Cliff" Shirley has joined AAR Oklahoma as manager of commuter airline service sales.

Shirley most recently served as director of sales administration for the Commander division of the Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. He has over 30 years of sales and customer support experience in many phases of the aviation industry, ranging from domestic and international aircraft sales to the sales/support of dealers and operators of Commander Aircraft located throughout the world.

AAR Oklahoma, a subsidiary of AAR Corp., provides service and support for the business aviation operator and selected airline products and services to major, national and regional airlines. . .

- Todd Brandon and Phyllis Wheat have joined the sales staff of KZUE AM 1460 Radio.

Brandon has worked at Oklahoma City stations KOMA, KOFM and KATT.

Wheat formerly was with Oklahoma City stations KTOK and KZBS. She also worked with Holderby Associates Advertising.

KZUE, one of the city's newest radio stations, plays 50s and 60s style music utilizing many of the same techniques that made stations popular during that era. . .

- Suzanne Hammond has been appointed to vice president of marketing for A Travel Connection Inc.

Hammond has 18 years experience in the travel industry and is a co-founder of the agency, which specializes in business travel. . .

- Mary Ann Bell has been promoted to agency media buyer at Yount-Moeller Inc., a Tulsa-based advertising firm.

Bell's responsibilities include the planning, development and implementation of media schedules for the agency's client base.

She joined the Yount-Moeller in August 1985 as administrative assistant. . .

- Linda Jones is the new acting director of communications and publications at Central State University.

Jones previously held the position of CSU news bureau director. She will be responsible for public relations, communications and publications in a reorganization of the departments and will serve as editor for the CSU Alumni Association magazine, The Alumni Newsletter.

Prior to joining CSU two and a half years ago, Jones was on the public relations staff of Presbyterian Hospital and a member of the CSU adjunct faculty. She also worked as a reporter for the Daily Oklahoman and the Dallas Morning News and as a writer, editor and photographer for the Edmond Evening Sun.

Jones received her bachelors from CSU in 1965 and her masters in creative studies in 1982. . .
