Service, Product Led Doran to Buy Okc Curtis Mathes Franchise/gross Sales of $2 Million Expected in First Year of Ownership

Service often seems a rare commodity in today's society. Tom Doran's search for service and product integrity led to his purchase of the Oklahoma City franchise of Curtis Mathes Home Entertainment Centers, sellers of video recorders, video cameras, satellite disks and televisions.

"I have a background in manufacturing, so I was impressed with the modular assembly which allows the four year warranty to exist," said Doran. "The systems were built to be serviced effectively and inspected by Curtis Mathes."

Everything sold by Curtis Mathes, he noted, carries a well-publicized four warranty, "carried nationwide and backed by the manufacturer. Other store warranties are good only at the store in which the system was bought."

Doran said he expects to realize gross sales of $2 million between the three stores by the end of his first year.

The three stores, located at 294 N Air Depot Blvd., 3925 N. MacArthur Blvd. and 1500 SW 74th Expressway, are consolidated from six stores the Curtis Mathis company once operated here. …
