Harrison Levy Co. Affiliates with New America Network

In an effort to expand its marketing capabilities, Harrison Levy Co., Realtors, has affiliated with the New America Network of commercial/industrial real estate brokers, owner Harrison Levy said Tuesday.

"I think this affiliation will be good for Oklahoma City," said Levy, "because now, instead of relying only on our national contacts, we'll have a network of 120 companies for leasing, acquisition or disposal of property.

"This (New America Network) is more than just a referral service. It is actually a corporate entity with regional vice presidents calling on national companies telling them of our (member companies') capabilities.

"It really will expand our efforts actually both nationally and internationally."

The New America Network, based in Highs Town, N.J., was formed about eight years ago in Hawaii by Norman Freedlander, who was dealing with a Japanese investor wanting to make acquisitions in the United States.

"He wanted to deal with companies he knew rather than just contacting a company and hoping for the best," said regional vice president David C. Blanchard. "Freedlander wanted a network of brokers with a professional staff who would assist him in serving his client."

Since that time, the network has grown nationwide and is affiliated with top realty companies in nearly every state, Blanchard said.

Whiteside and Grant Realtors of Tulsa is the other Oklahoma company affiliated with the network, Blanchard said.

Each affiliated company is given exclusive rights to represent the network in a specific area, although companies in some of the larger cities have more than one office. …
