Hotel Motel room tax collections increased 2.2percent to $1.17 million during the fiscal year ended June 30, 1987, from the previous year, according to a report presented Thursday to the Oklahoma City Convention and Tourism Commission.

The room tax collections were up from $25,722 from $1.1 million for the previous fiscal year, the unaudited report said.

Along with the horse shows will be trade shows, Draper said. The chamber currently is trying to package the five horse shows together to attract national sponsors for the events, he said. …
