INVITATION TO BID Date: December 31, 1987

Sealed Bids will be received by the Oklahoma City Municipal Improvement Authority (Owner) at the City Clerk Office, Municipal Building, Oklahoma City until 9:30 a.m., local time, January 22nd, 1988, for Phase III: Segment A, Contract No. 2, Advanced Waste Treatment Improvements, North Canadian Wastewater Treatment Plant, Oklahoma City Project ST-0052 (825-01-72).

Bids shall be opened by the Oklahoma City Bid Committee promptly after 9:30 a.m., January 22nd, 1988, in Room 408, Municipal Building, 200 North Walker, Oklahoma City.

The proposed Work provides for the construction of improvements to the North Canadian Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Work has been divided into two Sections. Section A includes installation of six vertical diffusion vane pumps and their related electrical equipment, all purchased under separate contract and assigned to this contract; construction of a 120 mgd filter influent pumping station; construction of a filter complex; modification of existing chlorine contact basins; construction of new 96 inch outfall piping, headwall and channel; modification of the existing Phase I and II outfalls; a segment of 72 inch stormwater piping; filter washwater return piping; and all associated yard work, structures, piping, valves, electrical power, and instrumentation and control systems. Bids will be received for alternative filter designs. Subsection A-1 includes that part of the above-mentioned work required to place approximately one-half of the pumping station and filter complex in operation and includes all necessary yard piping, electrical and control work, and other necessary appurtenances.

Section B provides for construction of the stormwater diversion facilities including stormwater return structure, stormwater transition structure, stormwater diversion structure, and approximately 2,900 linear feet of 72 inch piping. As an additive alternative this Section includes 1,900 feet of 42 inch piping as washwater sewer for the alternative bid filters of Section A. Subsection B-1 includes that part of the above-mentioned work necessary to provide washwater sewer service for the filters of Section A, and includes either 1,900 linear feet of the 72-inch pipe and all necessary appurtenances, or 1,900 linear feet of 42-inch piping and all necessary appurtenances, depending upon the filter option selected under Section A.
