Davidson New President of Liberty Mortgage D. DeWayne Davidson has been elected president of Liberty Mortgage Co., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Oklahoma City-based Liberty National Bank and Trust Co.

Davidson is president of the Oklahoma Mortgage Bankers Association and is an advisory director to the Federal National Mortgage Association Southwestern Region Advisory Board. Davidson actively serves on various national committees of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, including the national legislative committee.

"Recent statistics regarding Oklahoma real estate indicate a revitalization of this market," Davidson said. "With our parent company's increased capital strength, we are now in a position to provide even greater levels of services."

Conference on Home-based Businesses Set Oklahoma's First Lady Shirley Bellmon and Oklahoma State University are hosting a one-day statewide conference on home-based businesses March 16 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lincoln Plaza Hotel.

Participants will include people considering operating a home-based business, those who need assistance with an existing business and those who want to expand and diversify their home-based companies.

The 16 workshops comprising the conference will focus on such topics as shoestring financing, pricing for profit, cost effective advertising, marketing strategies and establishing a food-related business.

Exhibitors from many state agencies and business assistance groups will provide information packets, and will be available to answer questions. The objective is to provide business direction and contacts to those men and women interested in starting or expanding a business in a home environment.

Registration before March 14 is $20, which includes all seminar materials and lunch. Registration fees after March 14 will be $30 with limited lunch tickets available.

Multiple Sclerosis Society Sponsors Contest TULSA - The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is sponsoring the UGLY Bartender Contest - UGLY being an acronym for Understanding, Generous, Lovable, You - March 15 through April 15.

During the contest, bartenders across the state will act as volunteers to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The bartender who collects the most votes will be awarded with the UGLY title at the Bartender's Ball/Awards Banquet April 30 at the Tulsa Marriott Hotel.

Night clubs, bars, restaurants, hotels and bowling alleys may still register for the contest.

This year the Multiple Sclerosis Society hopes to reach its goal of raising $30,000 through the contest.

Photorama Scheduled for Sunday Photographers from across the West will meet Sunday at the Holiday Inn-Northwest, 3535 NW 39th Expressway, for Photorama USA, a camera trade show. …
