NOTICE OF HEARING

Cause CD No. 148,333

Before the Corporation Commission of Oklahoma.

Applicant: Oryx Energy Company. Relief Sought: Increased Density. Legal Description: Section 16, Township 8 North, Range 22 East, Haskell County, Oklahoma.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Applicant in this Cause is requesting that the Commission permit at a legal location the drilling of an additional well to test the Spiro common source of supply underlying Section 16, Township 8 North, Range 22 East, Haskell County, Oklahoma, a 640-acre gas and gas condensate drilling and spacing unit.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Applicant in this Cause is requesting the following special relief: The Applicant is requesting to amend Order No. 90,208, underlying the above described area. Further, Applicant is requesting that it or some other party be given authority to drill and operate the said additional well. Applicant may request that the Order be made effective prior to the date of the issuance of the Order.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this Cause be set before a Hearing Officer for hearing, taking of evidence, and reporting to the Commission.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this Cause will be heard before a Hearing Officer on the Merits Docket at the Corporation Commission, First Floor, Jim Thorpe Building, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at 8:30 a.m. on the 27th day of October, 1989, and that this Notice be published as required by law and the rules of the Commission.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the additional well which Applicant seeks authority to drill would be at a location more than 500 feet from the center of said governmental section.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this Notice is being published to comply with Order No. 61,489 in Cause C.D. No. 23,255, which provided that in the event any operator intended to drill a well for oil and gas purposes through the Hartshorne Coal Seam in Section 17-

8N-22E, Haskell County, Oklahoma, that Notice should be given by publication in a newspaper of general circulation printed in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and in Haskell County, Oklahoma, and that if any Hartshorne Coal lessee should have objection to the proposed location, said lessee may file an Application with the Corporation Commission of Oklahoma at the Jim Thorpe Building, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, within fifteen days after the date of the last publication of this Notice, and in such event, such well shall not be drilled without approval of the Corporation Commission, until after hearing the Application of the objecting Hartshorne Coal lessee. …
