Linda Carpenter, owner of Custer County Abstract Co. in Clinton, has assumed her post as president of the Oklahoma Land Title Association, a state group of abstracters and title insurance professionals. Other board members include Marty Askins of Duncan, Owen Harper of Bartlesville, Jim Kott of Oklahoma City and C.P. "Bucky" Crawford of Frederick. . .

- The Central Oklahoma Chapter of the American Institute of Architects has set aside two weekends in June for "Evenings of Celebrity Architecture."

Plans for dinners in up to 15 homes in metropolitan Oklahoma City are being developed by a chapter committee of George Seminoff, Jean Gumerson, Mariana Barthold and Bart Shedeck.

All the residences chosen are considered to have historical significance to Oklahoma City or show trends in architectural design. Hosts will be owners of homes designed or renovated by architects, and in several cases designed by the hosts themselves.

In addition, many house extensive art collections, and some have gardens in development.

Homes on the tour will include those of: Mr. and Mrs. James R. Tolbert III, Bart Shedeck, Leonard Ball, Bob Cochran, Julian Kornfeld, Dr. and Mrs. Lee Centracco, Mr. and Mrs. David C. Foltz, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph B. Singer, Mr. and Mrs. Rand Elliott and Mr. and Mrs. George Seminoff. Elliott is president of the chapter.

In addition, the former residence of Harvey Everest, known as The White House, will be included as a dinner site. The east side mansion is now home to the law firm Sturm and Brawner, after extensive remodeling in 1988.

Scheduled are dinners on Friday and Saturday evenings, June 1, 2, 8 and 9, and Sunday suppers on June 3 and 10. Hosts will plan and serve dinners according to their culinary interests for up to 20 guests. Cost is $50 per person per dinner. …
