- Karen Luke has been appointed by Gov. Henry Bellmon to serve a seven-year term on the Board of Regents at Oklahoma City Community College. Luke replaces Jack E. Bernier, who served as a regent at the college for 14 years. Luke is the executive director of Leadership Oklahoma City. She also has served as director of public relations for the Salvation Army, public relations consultant for Arthur Andersen and Co. and director of marketing for MetroBank. . .
- Nance Langdon Diamond, has been named president of Leadership Oklahoma Inc. for 1990-1991. Diamond, a Shawnee community leader who has been involved in major state programs, succeeds Ken McBride of Norman, who has served for one year as head of the organization.
Diamond is executive director of the Oklahoma CASA Association, a private nonprofit organization which supports the development of court-appointed special advocates for abused and neglected children. Diamond has been a teacher in Shawnee, Norman and Oklahoma City. She is a noted lecturer at child abuse prevention conferences, judicial meetings and training and research seminars.
