Optometrists Honor Baldwin, Bennett

Dr. Bob L. Baldwin has been named Optometrist of the Year by the Oklahoma Optometric Association. Also, Dr. Michael Bennett has been named Young Optometrist of the Year by the association. Baldwin, a practicing doctor of optometry for 29 years in Midwest City, and Bennett, of Guthrie, were nominated by their colleagues based on extensive achievements and service to their communities. He has co-authored and authored several articles, serves as a clinical investigator for contact lens development and is president for the American Optometric Foundation. He is a past president and member of the Oklahoma Optometric Board of Directors and is a past adjunct professor at Northeastern State University College of Optometry. Bennett is a lecturer at Oklahoma Optometric Association conventions, is a past president of the central district of the association, a member of the Oklahoma Geriatric Education Foundation and administrator for the Chester H. Pheiffer Memorial Award. . . Dr. Don Ledbetter of Moore has been elected president of the Oklahoma Optometric Association. Other officers elected are: Dr. Mark Manahan, Sand Springs, president-elect; Dr. R.D. Hiskett, Bristow, first vice president; and Dr. David Eldridge, Okmulgee, second vice president. . . Lori A. McCaslin has been named director of marketing- public relations for the Oklahoma City Clinic. McCaslin was public relations coordinator for the clinic. She will assume marketing responsibilities for the main clinic and its five satellites. . . Joel Brandon has joined the Priority Care program of South Community Hospital-Moore as marketing representative to service the Moore and Norman business communities. Brandon will serve as a liaison between industry, the hospital and its physicians. Priority Care is an occupational health program. …
