RTC Files Foreclosure Suit Against MGRB, Owners

The Resolution Trust Corp. filed a foreclosure action Monday against MGRB Associates and its owners due to a default on a $1.4 million Norman real estate mortgage. The suit was filed at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma by the Resolution Trust as receiver for the First Federal Savings and Loan of Hutchinson, of Hutchinson, Kan. Named as defendants were Ronald L. Jelosek and Merle T. Northrop, general partners of MGRB; Sharon Jelosek; Penny Rae Northrop; and Thunderbird Imports Ltd. of Norman, formerly Fowler Motors Inc. The suit stated that MGRB had signed a promissory note for $1.4 million in April 1985 for the Cleveland County property. It seeks judgment for $1.14 million plus interest of $298 per day from May 15 until paid. Blazers' Season Scheduled to Begin in November

The Oklahoma City Blazers' season is scheduled to begin Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m. when they play the Wichita Thunder at the Myriad Convention Center. The 60-game regular season will conclude March 14 when the Memphis RiverKings host the Blazers at 2:30 p.m. All Blazers games are scheduled at 7:30 p.m. except Sundays, which start at 6:30 p.m. Season tickets, priced at $250 for lower level seating and $170 for upper level seating, may be obtained at the Blazers' office, Sheratonntury Mall, 100 W. Main, Ste. 172. Individual games tickets are $9 and $6, with a $2 discount for senior citizens over 65 and children under 12. Walters Appoints Walker, Others to State Posts

Dr. Jerald Walker, Oklahoma City University president, has been appointed to the Oklahoma Ethics Commission by Gov. David Walters. Walker will fill the position created by the expired term of former member James Everest, serving a fivear term ending in July 1997. Also, Marvin Hambrick has been named to the Human Services Commission, filling the position created by the expired term of John Orr. …
