Passenger boardings at Will Rogers World Airport were up for the seventh consecutive month in November, continuing a near-record setting pace, according to figures released by the Oklahoma City Department of Airports.

There were 120,834 departures reported by the eight airlines serving the airport in November, up 2 percent from 118,470, while the number of arriving passengers also was up.

Airlines reported 126,237 arrivals, up 7.7 percent from 117,210.

Not only was outbound passenger traffic up for the seventh consecutive month, but it was the ninth time this year that passenger enplanements registered an increase over the same month of 1991.

November's enplanement figures give the airport a total of 1.41 million departures so far in 1992, up 4.6 percent from 1.3 million in the first 11 months of 1991.

The 1992 year-to-date figure is only 1 percent below the 1.425 million departures reported in the record year of 1989. It also trails by 0.8 percent the 1.422 million departures reported in 1990.

November increases were registered nearly across the board by the eight carriers serving Oklahoma City with only American Airlines and Trans World Airlines reporting a drop from November 1991.

Pacific Coast Airlines, a commuter carrier which offers service between Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Dallas-Fort Worth and several small cities in Oklahoma, has not registered any traffic out of Will Rogers World Airport in three months. In the past six months, the airline has carried only 40 passengers from Oklahoma City.

Officials of the airline, based in Newport Beach, Calif., could not be reached for comment.

Pacific Coast Airlines began service to Oklahoma City in January.

Statistics of all the airlines, as reported to the Oklahoma City Department of Airports, shows: American Airlines reported 28,031 boardings, down 6. …
