Dot-Line Trucking to Open Terminal, School in El Reno

A California trucking company plans to open a relay terminal and a truck-driving school in El Reno that will add up to 200 jobs for the city in the next year.

Dot-Line Transportation expects to be in operation with its relay terminal within two months, company officials said Friday. Ground will be broken for fuel storage tanks and warehouses in three weeks.

The company will move into a 14.5-acre facility that used to house an oil company at the Canadian Valley Industrial Park south of El Reno.

Company spokesman Bob Scholl said 80 percent of the workforce would be truck drivers and 20 percent would be maintenance and officer personnel. He said payroll figures weren't known.

Dot-Line hauls freight for a wide variety of companies and operates coast-to-coast. It was founded in 1980 and did $13 million in business last year with 45 trucks.

Scholl said the company plans to add 20 trucks to its fleet this year.

El Reno Chamber of Commerce and city officials have been negotiating with Dot-Line for six months, said chamber President Donna Von Tungeln. …
