Sonic Elects Two Directors Promotes One

Sonic Corp., Oklahoma City-based parent corporation of Sonic Industries, the operator and franchisor of Sonic Drive-Ins, has elected two members to its board of directors and promoted one of its senior officers, it was announced Thursday.

Robert Rosenberg, chief executive officer-Allied Lyons Retailing U.S.A., has been named to Sonic's board of directors. Allied Lyons owns the Dunkin Donuts and Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream chains.

Rosenberg filled a vacancy on Sonic's board created by the recent resignation of Donald Doyle, who left the board to take the position of chief executive officer of Carl Karcher Enterprises, a California-based hamburger chain.

"Mr. Rosenberg brings to the Sonic board 30 years of restaurant and franchising industry experience," said Stephen Lynn, president and chief executive officer of Sonic Corp. "While we regret Don's departure from our board, we are very pleased to have someone of Bob Rosenberg's caliber join us."

Lynn also announced the promotion of Clifford Hudson to the position of executive vice president and chief operating officer, and Hudson's appointment to Sonic's board of directors. …
