Civic Center Music Hall will be the setting for a performance by Chicago's internationally acclaimed company, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. The exciting dance company is being brought here by Gail Beals Inc., for a one-night-only appearance.

The program at 8 p.m. Tuesday will feature a combination of theatrical jazz, contemporary dance and classical ballet technique. Corporate sponsors include Evans Home Furnishings and Liberty Bank and Trust Co. of Oklahoma City NA. Additional support is being provided by Magic 104, The Black Chronicle, Waterford Hotel and Show Biz Dancewear Boutique.

During their visit to Oklahoma City, the dancers will present a master jazz class for intermediate and advance level students in the studios of Ballet Oklahoma. The class is scheduled at 7 p.m. Monday and information is available by calling Ballet Oklahoma offices. . . John and Eleanor Kirkpatrick, Oklahoma City's prominent philanthropists, will receive the 1993 Humanitarian Award from the Arthritis Foundation, Oklahoma Chapter. The presentation will be at a black-tie dinner Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Marriott Hotel. The Kirkpatricks will be recognized for their lifelong commitment to the state of Oklahoma and Oklahoma City in particular.

Byron Janis, highly acclaimed concert pianist and national ambassador for the Arthritis Foundation, will perform.

Reservations for the dinner are $125 per person and checks may be mailed to the Arthritis Foundation, 2915 N. Classen Blvd. Suite 325, Oklahoma City 73106. After cocktails at 7 p.m., dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m.

Charles E. Nelson, chairman and chief executive officer of Liberty Bancorp Inc., is chairing the dinner committee. On the committee are Barney Lehmbeck, Sean Commings, Jim Everest, Susie Hupfeld, Donna Muenzler, Richard Parker, Paula Stover and Suzi Hunter. . . Executives Night is planned Tuesday by members of Executive Women International, Oklahoma City Chapter. The dinner will be at Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club at 7 p.m., following a 6:30 p.m. reception.

Entertainment will be provided by humorist Ed Yaeger.

Membership in EWI is comprised of representatives from major Oklahoma City business firms, limited to one firm in each category of business. . . Maestros on Parade mentioned in this column last week has been postponed from Sunday to sometime in January, general chairman George Seminoff said. Guest maestros had planned to take part in the musical event to benefit the Oklahoma Youth Orchestra, which provides experience in an orchestra setting for students sixth grade through high school. . . Coming up: Florence Birdwell, voice professor at Oklahoma City University's School of Music, will give her annual concert at 8 p.m. Friday in Petree Auditorium on the OCU campus. …
