Bank IV Program Links Credit Cards to Consumer Loans

Bank IV customers will be able to earn toward consumer loans simply by using their credit cards this month.

Bank IV is introducing Resource Reserve, a credit card program designed to reward participating bank customers for using their Bank IV credit cards.

Bank IV Kansas NA and Bank IV Oklahoma NA are subsidiaries of Fourth Financial Corp., a $7.5 billion bank holding company based in Wichita. Bank IV Oklahoma is based in Tulsa and has offices there and in Oklahoma City and other Oklahoma communities.

Resource Reserve will apply not only to purchases made with the credit card, but also to purchases made with a Bank IV check card, a debit card that allows holders to pay for purchases directly out of their checking account rather than through credit.

Bank IV is one of the first banks to allow customers to accrue points through the use of the credit card and check card, said Jerry Lester, senior vice president, Electronic Banking, for Bank IV. Similar credit card programs, such as the General Motors Corp. credit card, offer points that are restricted to the purchase of a specific product or brand, the bank said in a press release, but Resource Reserve would be applicable to any product with no brand limitations.

Customers who switch to the Resource Reserve credit card will receive 500 bonus points. …
