Long Set to Serve as Medical Association President

Dr. Larry L. Long, an Oklahoma City surgeon, is to be inaugurated as president of the Oklahoma State Medical Association during the association's 89th Annual Meeting this Friday and Saturday at the Marriott Hotel.

Long is past president of the Oklahoma City Clinical Society and the Oklahoma County Medical Society. He served as speaker of the Oklahoma State Medical Association House of Delegates for 12 years.

Speakers scheduled at the annual meeting include Gov. Frank Keating and Dr. Nancy W. Dickey, vice chairman of the American Medical Association board of trustees. . . Dr. Mehdi N. Adham of Oklahoma City has received the Scientific Exhibit Award (board-certified physician) from the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

The award was presented at the society's 28th Annual Scientific Meeting in San Francisco.

Adham's exhibit was titled "A New Technique for Nasal Tip Graft." It was displayed at the society's 1994 annual meeting. . Dr. Philip Mosca, a Southwest Medical Center urologist, has been selected president-elect of the American Lithotripsy Society.

Mosca will take office at the society's next meeting in Orlando, Fla. He has served the society in the past as the chairman of the computer software committee and most recently as treasurer. . . Registered Nurse Dale Lippert has been named nurse manager for Deaconess Hospital's fifth floor B-wing. The floor is designed for patients who have undergone orthopedic surgery and for those needing telemetry and-or medical-surgical care.

Lippert has nearly 15 years' experience in nursing and nurse management. . . Laura L. Cross, attorney with Miller, Dollarhide, Dawson Shaw, is scheduled to speak at several meetings this month on health-related issues.

Cross will discuss "Home Health Joint Ventures with Home Health Systems" today at the Oklahoma Association for Home Care 1995 Spring Conference in Tulsa. …
