Harvard Keynote Speaker at Center's Banquet

Atlanta Chief of Police Beverly J. Harvard will be the keynote speaker for the 29th anniversary banquet of the Opportunities Industrialization Center of Oklahoma County Inc. The banquet is scheduled at 7 p.m. June 23 at the Metro Tech-Spring Lake Conference Center.

Harvard is the first black woman to head a major metropolitan police department. Tickets are $25. Call 235-2651 for more information. Hollrah to Take Post with Geologists Group

Oklahoma City geologist Terry L. Hollrah will assume the presidency of the Division of Professional Affairs of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists July 1.

Hollrah, of Hollrah Exploration Co. of Oklahoma City, will preside over the branch of the association responsible for professional concerns and certification. He will serve a one-year term. Hollrah is also a member of the Oklahoma City Geological Society.

The association, which has its international headquarters in Tulsa, is the world's largest geoscience organization, with over 32,000 members in 107 countries. Myriad Gardens Foundation Hires Owens

Suzanne Owens has been hired as executive director of the Myriad Gardens Foundation, it was announced Thursday. The Myriad Gardens Foundation is the leadership organization for fund-raising and support of the Myriad Botanical Gardens in downtown Oklahoma City.

The foundation is the result of a merger this year of the Myriad Gardens Conservatory, the membership organization, and the Myriad Gardens Foundation, originally dedicated to raising capital financing.

Owens was development director for VNS Health Services Inc. in Santa Fe, N.M. She is the former executive director of the New Mexico Zoological Society and was marketing manager for the Oklahoma City Zoological Park. Owens has worked in city government and has owned a small business. Jernigan to Address Gas Vehicle Coalition Meeting
