AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS AND OFFENSES; AMENDING CHAPTER 30, SECTION 152, INCREASING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKLAHOMA CITY:

Section 1. That Chapter 30, Section 152 of the Oklahoma City Municipal Code, 1993, is hereby amended by the addition of new language to read:

Section 30-152. Prostitutes and procuring for prostitution.

(a) No person shall, in a public place, engage in or offer to engage in any act of prostitution or other act of lewdness or to solicit, induce, entice, or procure another to commit or engage in any act of prostitution or other act of lewdness.

(b) Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of Subsection (a) shall, upon conviction, be punished as follows:

(1) First offense. A fine of $750.00 plus mandatory imprisonment of not less than fifteen days nor more than 30 days in the City Jail. …
