Customers of Will Rogers Bank and The First Bank in Moore can begin accessing the same banking facilities Sept. 16, after the merger between the two is complete.

The First Bank signs are expected to change next weekend to reflect the name of the surviving entity -- Will Rogers -- as a result of the merger between the banks both owned by Wichita-based Intrust Financial Corp.

The reason for the merger, approved in June by the Oklahoma State Banking Board, was to consolidate Intrust's Oklahoma operations and set up one state bank charter. As a result of the merger, Will Rogers Bank, at 5100 NW 10th St., will become the surviving entity with two branches -- one in Moore and the other in Mustang. The First Bank's main location is at 100 S. Broadway in Moore, and its branch is at 500 N. Mustang Rd. in Mustang. Names of the new branches will be Will Rogers Bank of Moore and Will Rogers Bank of Mustang. Will Rogers customers will have five automated teller machines after the merger. …
