Ah, Sweet Mystery

Article excerpt

A hallmark of the change in seasons is the scheduling of fashion shows and one of the first to herald autumn will be "Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life," sponsored by and benefiting the Societies of Oklahoma City University. Ruth Meyers Inc. will present the new fall fashions by Pamela Dennis, Louis Feraud, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein and Nicole Miller at a luncheon on Thursday, Sept. 4, in the National Cowboy Hall of Fame and Western Heritage Center.

The doors will open at 11:30 a.m., with luncheon served at noon and fashions to follow. Highlighting the annual fashion show will be a musical revue by students of the OCU Margaret E. Petree School of Music and Performing Arts.

The Societies of OCU include the Oklahoma Opera and Music Theater Company, the Dulaney-Browne Library and the Norick Art Center and Hulsey Gallery. The revue will include selections from the upcoming season of the Opera and Music Theater Co. The shows include How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Oct. 3-5; Naughty Marietta, Nov. 21-23; Cendrillon, Feb. 20-22, and Carnival, April 24- 26.

Reservations for the luncheon show are $40 per person for rampside seating and $30 per person for general seating. Reservations may be made by calling the OCU Societies' office at 521-5330.
