Funke Named Chair of YMCA of Greater OKC

Mark W. Funke, president of Bank of Oklahoma-Oklahoma City, has been elected chairman of the board of directors for the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City.

Other officers are David Thompson, chairman-elect; J. Patrick Hare, vice chairman and treasurer; and Carol Wilkinson Troy, secretary.

Members of the board elected to another term were Ann Ackerman, Richard H. Clements, Marvin Crawford, James H. Everest, Mark W. Funke, Stephen P. Garrett, E. Carey Joullian IV, Ben F. Lewis, Dave Lopez, Carol Wilkinson Troy, Thomas W. Utterback and Anthony Zahn. New board members are Glenn E. Deck, city manager of Oklahoma City, and Mona S. Lambird, senior partner with Andrews Davis Legg Bixler Milsten & Price. Financial Dale Phillips, president of Old Surety Life Insurance of Oklahoma City, has been elected president of the Association of Oklahoma Life Insurance Companies. Stephen P. Garrett, senior vice president and corporate secretary with American Fidelity, was elected vice president. Gene D. Calame, executive vice president of Globe Life and Accident Insurance, was elected secretary and treasurer. Horace G. Rhodes was retained as executive vice president and general counsel. Laine D. Helt has joined the Oklahoma Farm Bureau & Affiliated Companies as a word processor operator. Dan Carrel has joined Arthur Andersen as a manager in the Human Capital Services practice. He has eight years' experience in the management of payroll and compensation systems and human resource issues. High tech Rick Nagel has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing for DCA, an Oklahoma City telecommunications billing company. He was in sales and marketing with the company. Terry Cannon has been named real estate specialist with Telepath Internet. He was with the sales department. He will conduct seminars and classes for real estate agents on using the Internet as a sales and promotion tool. Clayton LiaBraaten, vice president of operations for the company, also announced that Telepath Internet's intern program has been initiated. The first student in the program is Devon Hyde, a senior at the University of Oklahoma. Other services Melissa Rice Behnken has joined Visual Image Advertising as a media buyer. She was with Ackerman McQueen. Jonie Windham has been promoted to media planner with Visual Image. She will be responsible for media research and planning. Kristy L. Hicks has joined KTOK radio as an account executive. She will focus on advertising sales. Chris D. Gorman has been promoted to president and CEO of ProCert, Oklahoma City-based transportation consultants. …
