Local physician assistant Donald Flinn has been elected a director at large in the American Academy of Physician Assistants Board of Directors.

The University of Oklahoma Physician Assistant Program graduate specializes in orthopedics at the McBride Clinic Orthopedic and Arthritis Center and Bone & Joint Hospital. He presided over the Oklahoma Academy of Physician Assistants in 1990, 1993 and 1998, and served as treasurer from 1995-97. The OAPA Roger Whitaker Award winner in 1990, he was named the Oklahoma PA of the Year seven years later. Representing the Oklahoma academy in the AAPA House of Delegates since 1989, he was a member of the AAPA Judicial Affairs Committee from 1991-97, serving as its chair in 1996 and `97.

The past president of the Oklahoma Association of Endodontists is a managing partner of Endodontic Associates in Oklahoma City. Dr. Richard A. Shildt has joined Cancer Care Associates' S. Utica office in Tulsa. The 17-year Tulsa market veteran is primarily based at St. John Medical Center. Business Doral Dental USA, the nation's largest Medicaid dental care administrator, now handles benefits for CommunityCare and Heartland Health Plan in Oklahoma. That covers nearly 75 percent of the Sooner marketplace, adding nearly 45,000 members to Doral's enrollment. A group of metro cancer centers, coordinated by Integris Health Oncology Services, is participating in breast cancer prevention tests of tamoxifen and raloxifene. …
