Teena Hicks Expands Store Space, Product Line

Article excerpt

With the downtown office market continuing to expand, the Teena Hicks Co. is feeling the positive effects. Hicks, the sole men's clothing store in the central business district, has expanded its space by 800 square feet in its Oklahoma Tower location. She now fills about 1,800 square feet.

"We have had a substantial growth in buiness," explained Teena Hicks. "We were totally out of space for our customers and merchandise."

Hicks also is augmenting her line of clothing. Along with her line of upscale suits, Hicks is selling casual men's clothing as well as women's suits.

Since moving to her current space on the second floor of Oklahoma Tower in late 1994, Hicks has seen her business more than double.

"I'm seeing more men in upper management, owners and CEOs buying more suits in order to look better," she said. "They want to stand out in a crowd."
