Oklahoma County Administrative Orders Now Available Online

I have in this article frequently referred to so-called "ADs," or administrative orders, as the reason my office performs some duty, or employs a particular procedure. There are more than 30 years' of AD orders, issued by Oklahoma County judges since 1969, assembled in my office.

Up to now, those orders were not readily available for use by lawyers or others coming to court in Oklahoma County. I have even spoken to several lawyer friends who were not aware of the existence of this body of authority which, in part, governs practice in Oklahoma County district courts.

Consequently, I am very excited to announce that these orders are now available for research and review via the Internet. Over the past several weeks, and with the assistance of the Oklahoma County MIS department, my office has placed the images of these orders into a computerized format. The orders are now ready and available to be searched via the court clerk's portion of Oklahoma County's Web site, as distinguished from the Supreme Court's Web site at OSCN. …
