The China Post news staff--Taipei police recently cracked an international investment fraud ring.

A man surnamed Tsao set up newspaper advertisements looking for operations assistants under fake creative design firms such as "the Rockefeller Creative Design Firm," which several women were baited by and joined. The women were requested to search for information on how to start up a company, including looking up vacant stores and how to furnish offices, through which they were convinced that they were also important founders of the company.

The women were also requested to file fake documents of deals involving silver futures with Singaporean companies, intended to convince the women that the company was making big money through international transactions. Convinced, the women were easily persuaded to invest in the company by Tsao's fellow trickster, a man surnamed Lee. Lee had acted all along like he was employed by Tsao with the women. …
