Ex-CFL Star Joffrey Reynolds Makes Brief Court Appearance on Domestic Violence Charges

Ex-CFL star Joffrey Reynolds in court again

CALGARY - A former star player with the CFL's Calgary Stampeders made a brief court appearance Thursday on alleged domestic dispute charges and is now facing a third criminal charge.

Joffrey Reynolds was arrested July 14 and charged with assault causing bodily harm and breaking and entering with intent against a former girlfriend.

Court was told that Reynolds, 32, is now facing an additional count of common assault.

Reynolds was given until Aug. 16 to retain a lawyer and remains free on $3,000 bail, along with conditions which includes not contacting his alleged victim.

"No comment at all," said Reynolds as he left the courthouse, surrounded by a bevy of TV cameras and photographers.

Reynolds is from Tyler, Texas and played college football at the University of Houston.

He played eight years for the Stampeders and was the team's all-time leading rusher with 9,213 rushing yards. He's a four-time CFL all-star and was a key player in Calgary's 2008 Grey Cup win. …
