Critics were asking for specific answers about the safety of the project, while Embridge says it's not at the stage yet where it has a final design.

Tim Leadam, the lawyer for EcoJustice, was asking how Enbridge can assure Canadians the project won't damage wetlands and endangered species, saying the company's track record doesn't instill a lot of trust.
