Sarnia defeats Erie 13-3

Sarnia's top line of Charles Sarault, Reid Boucher and Nikolay Goldobin combined for six goals and 18 points as the Sting crushed the visiting Erie Otters 13-3 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Sarault led all players with seven assists and now has 20 goals and 97 points in 60 games, which places him second in the OHL points race behind Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds' forward Nick Cousins, who has 98 points in 58 contests.

Boucher scored four times and chipped in two assists and leads the league in scoring with 57 goals in 60 games. The 19-year-old has 17 goals in his last 12 games and is just one goal away from tying Steve Stamkos' team record of 58, which was set in 2007-08.

Goldobin had two goals and three assists and is now the OHL leader in rookie scoring with 58 points in 60 contests. He jumped over Erie's Connor McDavid, who failed to pick up a point and went minus-4 in defeat. …
