Marine forecasts for Pacific waters issued by Environment Canada at 4:00 p.m. PST Thursday 7 March 2013 for tonight and Friday. The next scheduled forecasts will be issued at 9:30 p.m.

Fog implies visibility less than 1 mile:

Strait of Georgia - north of Nanaimo: Wind southeast 15 knots diminishing to light near midnight then becoming northwest 5 to 15 late Friday morning. A few showers ending early this evening.

Strait of Georgia - south of Nanaimo: Wind southeasterly 5 to 15 knots diminishing to light near midnight then becoming northwest 5 to 15 late Friday morning. A few showers ending early this evening.

Howe Sound: Wind southerly inflow 5 to 15 knots diminishing to light this evening then becoming northerly outflow 10 to 15 after midnight. Wind diminishing to light Friday morning then becoming southerly inflow 10 Friday afternoon. A few showers ending early this evening.

Haro Strait: Wind southerly 5 to 15 knots becoming light near midnight then becoming northerly 10 to 15 late Friday morning. A few showers ending early this evening.

Juan de Fuca Strait - east entrance: Wind easterly 5 to 15 knots. A few showers ending early this evening.

Juan de Fuca Strait - central strait: Wind westerly 10 to 15 knots diminishing to light near midnight. A few showers ending early this evening.

Juan de Fuca Strait - west entrance: Wind variable 5 to 15 knots becoming light this evening then becoming northwest 10 to 15 Friday afternoon. A few showers ending early this evening.
