Marine forecasts for Pacific waters issued by Environment Canada at 4:00 p.m. PDT Thursday 21 March 2013 for tonight and Friday. The next scheduled forecasts will be issued at 9:30 p.m.

Fog implies visibility less than 1 mile:

Strait of Georgia - north of Nanaimo: Strong wind warning in effect. Wind southerly 10 to 15 knots increasing to northwest 15 to 25 early this evening then diminishing to northwest 10 to 15 late Friday morning. A few showers ending late this evening.

Strait of Georgia - south of Nanaimo: Strong wind warning in effect. Wind westerly 5 to 15 knots increasing to northwest 20 to 30 this evening then becoming northwest 20 early Friday morning. Wind diminishing to northwest 10 to 15 late Friday morning. A few showers ending late this evening.

Howe Sound: Wind southerly inflow 10 to 20 knots becoming northerly outflow 10 to 20 near midnight then becoming southerly inflow 10 to 20 near noon Friday. A few showers ending near midnight.

Haro Strait: Strong wind warning in effect. Wind southwest 15 to 25 knots diminishing to westerly 10 to 15 after midnight and to light Friday afternoon. A few showers ending near midnight.

Juan de Fuca Strait: Gale warning in effect. Wind west 25 to 35 knots diminishing to west 20 after midnight and to northwest 10 to 15 Friday morning. A few showers ending near midnight.

Johnstone Strait Queen Charlotte Strait: Strong wind warning in effect. Wind northwest 15 to 25 knots. Showers or wet flurries ending late Friday morning. Low tonight zero. High Friday plus 5.

West Coast Vancouver Island North: Gale warning in effect. Wind northwest 25 to 35 knots becoming northwest 25 near midnight then diminishing to northwest 15 near noon Friday. Showers ending late Friday morning.

West Coast Vancouver Island South: Gale warning in effect. Wind northwest 25 to 35 knots becoming northwest 25 late overnight then diminishing to northwest 15 Friday evening. Showers ending Friday morning.

Queen Charlotte Sound: Gale warning in effect. Wind northwest 25 to 35 knots becoming northwest 25 this evening then diminishing to northwest 15 early Friday morning. …
