Marine forecasts for Pacific waters issued by Environment Canada at 4:00 p.m. PDT Thursday 4 April 2013 for tonight and Friday. The next scheduled forecasts will be issued at 9:30 p.m.

Fog implies visibility less than 1 mile:

Strait of Georgia: Strong wind warning in effect. Wind light increasing to southeast 10 to 15 knots this evening and to southeast 15 to 25 near midnight. Wind increasing to southeast 25 to 30 Friday evening. Periods of rain.

Howe Sound: Wind northerly outflow 10 to 20 knots becoming southerly inflow 10 to 15 late overnight then diminishing to light near noon Friday. Wind increasing to northerly outflow 10 to 20 Friday evening. Periods of rain.

Haro Strait: Strong wind warning in effect. Wind north 10 to 15 knots diminishing to light early this evening then becoming southerly 10 to 15 late overnight. Wind diminishing to light Friday afternoon then increasing to southeast 20 Friday evening. Periods of rain.

Juan de Fuca Strait - central strait Juan de Fuca Strait - east entrance: Wind easterly 5 to 15 knots becoming light this evening then increasing to southwest 15 to 20 late overnight. Wind diminishing to variable 5 to 15 near noon Friday. Periods of rain.

Juan de Fuca Strait - west entrance: Strong wind warning in effect. Wind east 15 to 20 knots veering to southeast 25 early this evening then to southwest 25 late this evening. Wind diminishing to southwest 15 late overnight then increasing to south 20 Friday afternoon. Wind increasing to southeast 20 to 30 Friday evening. Periods of rain.

Johnstone Strait: Strong wind warning in effect. Wind southeast 5 to 15 knots increasing to southeast 20 Friday afternoon and to southeast 25 Friday evening. Periods of rain.

Queen Charlotte Strait: Strong wind warning in effect. Wind southeast 5 to 15 knots increasing to southeast 25 early Friday afternoon. Periods of rain.

West Coast Vancouver Island North: Gale warning in effect. Wind east 15 to 20 knots except southeast 15 to 25 south of the Brooks Peninsula. Wind becoming southeast 5 to 15 this evening then veering to southwest 15 late overnight. …
