TAIPEI, Taiwan -- "Jade Master" Soofeen Hu ([...]) is suspected to have been using a fake passport to enter and leave Taiwan more than 800 times.

Hu's artifacts were so popular that they even gained recognition from a former head of the National Palace Museum, and were also showcased at the Palace Museum in Beijing.

Hu recently divorced his wife, surnamed Liu, who claimed in June that Hu had a fake passport in his possession. As a result, Hu was recently arrested by relevant authorities.

Hu had been married with Liu for 17 years before the divorce. Liu claimed that she found out about Hu's false identity only after the divorce. In his defense, Hu said "My Thai identity is real. Neither of (my identities) are fake."

According to the National Immigration Agency, Hu is originally from Burma, and had been using a fake Thai passport for more than 20 years, using it more than 700 times to enter and exit Taiwan. …
