Wearable devices, the Internet of Things (IoT) and smart home technology are considered the next big thing in the age of technology, and they will be featured in international technology and consumer electronics shows next year.

With 2015 approaching, major technology exhibitions have narrowed down their exhibition theme selections.

Three internationally renowned technology shows are scheduled to be held in the first three months of 2015: the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Mobile World Congress (MWC) and CeBIT, which is the world's largest and most international computer expo.

The CES, which typically hosts previews of new products, will feature wearable devices and IoT-related applications such as smart health and smart home devices. The event will take place in Las Vegas from Jan. 6-9. Many consider CES's exhibition themes the latest trends in technological development.

MWC, the world's largest exhibition for the mobile industry, has chosen the "Edge of Innovation" as its exhibition theme in 2015. The event is scheduled to take place in Spain from March 2-5.

Mobile World Congress Shanghai is also scheduled to take place from July 15-17. The theme will be "Mobile Unlimited." Many Asian electronics companies have been invited to attend the show.

CeBIT is considered a barometer of state-of-the-art information technology. …
