TAIPEI, Taiwan -- National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism (NKUHT) Professor Chen Chien-hao ([...]) was transferred to the Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office (KDPO) yesterday for allegedly shooting an arrow at a fisherman surnamed Hsiao ([...]) on Friday.

Police speculated that Chen might be charged with attempted murder. According to investigations conducted by the Kaohsiung Harbor Police Department, while Hsiao was fishing on a boat at a fishing district near the city's second port, Chen shot three arrows at him, with one of them striking his left shoulder.

Police said that Chen's indignation over Hsiao's fishing impinging on his angling drove him to the attack. According to police, one compound bow and 21 long wooden arrows were seized by police after Hsiao reported the incident on Monday.
