MOFA Film Contest Seeks to Showcase Beautiful Sceneries

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has launched a short-film competition and is calling on people to submit entries that feature human interest stories with beautiful sceneries from Taiwan in the background with the aim to promote Taiwan to the world.

Those who are interested in joining the contest entitled "Trending Taiwan" should submit their three-minute short film. The film should document a human interest story that took place in Taiwan and also shows the beauty of Taiwan to audiences, the MOFA said in a released statement.

The short film should also include beautiful scenery and unique experiences filmed in local cities and townships so that foreign nationals, overseas Chinese or Taiwanese would want to visit, it added.

The contest is opened to submissions from people of all nationalities and ages with the deadline falling on Jan. …
