Ray Emery, Sixth Goalie to Earn a Win This Year for Marlies in Victory over Bears

Emery makes 23 saves, Marlies beat Bears 6-2

HERSHEY, Pa. - Ray Emery's professional tryout with the Toronto Marlies is off to a solid start.

Emery made 23 saves in his debut and T.J. Brennan struck twice as the Marlies downed the Hershey Bears 6-2 on Saturday in American Hockey League action.

Mark Arcobello had a goal and two assists for the Marlies (23-5-2), who also got goals from Brendan Leipsic, Zach Hyman and Stuart Percy.

Aaron Ness and Carter Camper supplied the offence for the Bears (14-8-6).

Dan Ellis started in net for Hershey and allowed four goals on 15 shots before giving way to Justin Peters, who stopped 10-of-12 shots in 30:29 of relief.

The 33-year-old Emery played three games earlier in the season with the Ontario Reign -- the Los Angeles Kings' AHL affiliate -- going 1-1-1 with a 3. …
