SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Travis Morin of the Texas Stars and William Nylander of the Toronto Marlies headline the list of players tabbed to play in the 2016 AHL All-Star Classic.

Morin has a one-point lead on Nylander in the American Hockey League scoring race.

Nylander suffered a suspected concussion in the opener of the world junior hockey championship on Dec. 26 and missed the rest of Sweden's games at the tournament. His return date is uncertain.

The AHL all-star skills competition is set for Jan. 31 in Syracuse, N.Y., and the all-star challenge will go Feb. 1. Each of the AHL's four divisions will be represented by 13 players: seven forwards, four defencemen and two goaltenders. …
