Bridges leads Canada to world sledge hockey final

BRIDGEWATER, N.S. - Billy Bridges and his Canadian teammates learned from their mistakes.

Bridges scored twice and added three assists as Canada rolled past South Korea 10-0 on Thursday in the semifinal of the world sledge hockey challenge. The Canadians had been slow against South Korea in the preliminary round and made sure to attack early and often in the playoffs.

"We came ready tonight," said assistant coach Brandon Reid. "I think our focus tonight was a lot different than the first game against the Koreans. The game plan was the same, it's just the execution was there. The guys were prepared mentally a little bit stronger."

Canada will play the United States on Saturday in the four-team tournament's final. …
