US-Initiated Music Diplomacy Program Seeks Taiwan Talents

TAIPEI, Taiwan--A U.S. government-initiated music diplomacy program is now open for applications and is hoping for more talented Taiwanese musicians, the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) said on Monday.

In a post made on its Facebook page, the AIT said that the 2016 OneBeat Fellows program is now open for applications. Applications need to be made online via the 1beat.org website. The deadline for applications is Feb. 5, it added.

According to the AIT, the OneBeat program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and Found Sound Nation, is a music exchange and promoter of music-based social entrepreneurship, where innovative musicians from around the world can launch collaborative projects.
