Angry Customers Hold Deliveryman over Long Wait

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Two men used bamboo chopsticks to forcibly hold a fast-food deliveryman at their home in Banqiao Distrist, New Taipei City on Sunday after they were angered by the lateness of a food delivery.

The two suspects, a 51-year-old cobbler surnamed Liu and his apprentice, visited a KFC branch in Banqiao to purchase take-outs on Sunday, the last day of the long Dragon Boat Festival weekend. After waiting with a large number of customers at the branch, the two decided to leave and call for delivery back home.

When the 20-year-old deliveryman surnamed Chen arrived with the order, Liu and his apprentice held a pair of bamboo chopsticks to his neck and forced him to stay. Liu's apprentice called the delivery hotline of the KFC branch, telling the manager that they were upset for having to wait two hours for their food and had decided to make Chen wait for the same amount of time at their place. …
