Teacher accused of changing final grades

SASKATOON - A teacher is undergoing a disciplinary hearing in Saskatchewan for allegedly changing students' final grades, including those of her own daughter.

Kimberley Sautner was principal of the high school in Wolseley, Sask., from 2008 to 2014 before she moved to Alberta.

She is accused of using the school's electronic marking system to change her daughter's grades and the grades of at least three more students.

A Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation hearing was told Monday that Sautner offered fellow teacher Gayle Wheatley $500 to change her daughter's Grade 12 English final grade.

The school's new principal, Crystal Hrbachek, testified that Sautner informed her she had cleared the request for the grade change with the director of education, Ben Grebinski. …
