WHL Roundup: Wheat Kings down Pats 8-1

REGINA - Jayce Hawryluk and Ivan Provorov had two goals and an assist each as the Brandon Wheat Kings toppled the Regina Pats 8-1 on Sunday in Western Hockey League action.
Macoy Erkamps, Tim McGauley, Reid Duke and Jordan Thomson also scored for the Wheat Kings (43-18-6) while Tanner Kaspick, John Quenneville and Nolan Patrick added two helpers apiece.
Cole Sanford put the Pats (31-27-8) on the board at 16:15 of the third period when it was already 7-0 Brandon.
Wheat Kings netminder Jordan Papirny made 30 saves for the win. Tyler Brown started in net for Regina and allowed three goals on nine shots in a period of work. Jordan Hollett stopped 36-of-41 shots in relief.
Brandon went 1 for 5 on the power play while the Pats scored once on four chances with the man advantage.
