NDP Leader Reacts to Release of SaskParty Platform, Calling It 'Boring'

REGINA - Saskatchewan's NDP leader is calling the Saskatchewan Party's platform "boring."

Cam Broten told reporters in front of the legislature building on Sunday that the election platform contains little for Saskatchewan people.

Premier Brad Wall released the Saskatchewan Party's platform on Saturday and the promises total just over $105 million dollars.

Wall says that's just one-fifth of one per cent of total government expenditures, so he says the promises are affordable even during the challenges posed by low oil prices.

Broten says he remembered when Wall had big ideas for Saskatchewan and he notes the platform doesn't have a budget.

The NDP had been asking for the budget to be released before the April 4 election.

"If Mr. Wall can't trust the people of Saskatchewan with his budget, why on earth should they trust him with their votes? …
