Canada's Bizier Won't Back off in Welterweight Title Clash with Champion Brook

Canada's Bizier underdog against Brook

SHEFFIELD, England - Kevin Bizier knows he's a longshot to win the world welterweight boxing title but he plans to put everything on the line against champion Kell Brook.

Bizier (25-2-0), from Quebec City, takes on Brook (35-0-0) in the Briton's hometown of Sheffield, England on Saturday. At stake is the International Boxing Federation title Brook won from Shawn Porter in Carson, Calif., in 2014.

"I will give everything in the ring for this fight," Bizier told the website of Brook's promoter, Matchroom Boxing. "I don't want to regret anything. I don't want to leave that ring knowing I didn't give it all when fighting for a world title.

"I'll have to apply constant pressure on him and get in his face."

Brook, 29, is looking forward to facing an opponent who won't be backing away.

"I'm desperate for an old-fashioned war," he said at a news conference Thursday. …
