Testimony continues at Travis Vader trial

EDMONTON - A hand-written note by a dead friend of Travis Vader's was entered into evidence by the defence at his first-degree murder trial in Edmonton.

Under questioning by defence lawyer Brian Beresh, RCMP Staff-Sgt. Chad Fournier admitted Friday that police were looking for Terry McColman in the weeks after an elderly couple vanished while on a road trip to British Columbia.

Lyle and Marie McCann are presumed dead after vanishing in June 2010 and Vader is accused of killing them, though their bodies have never been found.

Previously, the trial has heard from Vader's ex-girlfriend Amber Williams, who testified she received text messages including one reading "it's me t" from Vader and calls from a phone that turned out to be registered to the McCanns. …
