CALGARY - Three people convicted of first-degree murder in the death of a Calgary father in 2012 have been sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years.

Sheena Cuthill, her husband Tim Rempel and his brother William Rempel were found guilty of killing 24-year-old Ryan Lane earlier this week.

Court heard that Cuthill and her husband were angry that Lane wanted visitation rights with the child he fathered with Cuthill.

Lane's remains were found in a burn barrel about 70 kilometres northeast of Calgary months after he was last seen going to meet someone who said they could help with the custody dispute.

The brothers were also found guilty of kidnapping. …
