- MUSIC-Tragically-Hip-Tour: Friday marks the start of what's expected to be a bittersweet chapter in the history of one of Canada's most iconic bands.Two months after the Tragically Hip revealed lead singer Gord Downie is facing terminal brain cancer, the band is preparing to embark on a 15-date tour that will culminate with a concert in their hometown of Kingston, Ont., which will be broadcast live by the CBC. 760 words. - US-Film-Star-Trek-Beyond: When the "Star Trek Beyond" cast and filmmakers gathered in Los Angeles last month for Anton Yelchin's funeral, they had a decision to make. Their film, the third in the rebooted series, was coming out in less than a month and a rigorous press tour was imminent. They could either put themselves out there to promote the film in the raw and devastating weeks following the death of their beloved co-star, or they could withdraw."We came to the conclusion in the end (that) if we withdraw, we're going to risk not helping a film that should be seen, not least because it stars Anton Yelchin," said Simon Pegg. - US-Books-Stephenie-Meyer: "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer's next novel is a thriller, without vampires.Little, Brown and Co. announced Tuesday that "The Chemist" will be published Nov. 15. The company says the book features a former government agent living underground and forced to "take one more case to clear her name and save her life." ''The Chemist" is Meyer's second book for adults. In 2008, she wrote "The Host." 110 words.

- US-People-Leslie-Jones:Under a barrage of hateful posts on Twitter, "Ghostbusters" star Leslie Jones said she was "in a personal hell" and urged the social networking service to do more to eradicate abuse.In a series of posts Monday night, Jones said she had been pummeled with racist tweets.
